Job Overview
Delivery Driver:
As a driver, you play a crucial part in ensuring our freshly baked goods reach customers' doorsteps on time and in perfect condition. This position goes beyond simply transporting bread and pastries; it involves a deep understanding of customer service, route planning, and quality control. Whether you're delivering to local cafes, restaurants, or hotels your attention to detail and commitment to excellence help maintain our bakery's reputation for outstanding products and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Handle packages, baked goods, or other items, ensuring they are loaded and unloaded safely and securely
Load and unload bread racks as needed
Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
Follow predetermined routes and schedules for efficient delivery.
Use delivery software (DeTrack) to process delivery confirmations on handheld device
Communicate with Overnight Manager regarding delivery status or issues
Communicate with Sales Reps regarding customer issues.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving.
Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, in good working condition, and adhering to safety regulations.
Using additional equipment, such as dollies, as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in delivery or driver role.
Familiarity with local routes and areas.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Excellent time management skills.
Attention to detail.
25 years or older and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to drive for long periods and maintain concentration.
Good physical stamina and health.
Punctuality and reliability. Early Riser Shift begins at 5 am
Strong communication skills.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
Bilingual preferred.
Full time Mon-Sat
5 am to 12 noon
