Hart Label is a family-owned label printer that was founded in May of 1989. In December of 2007 Hart Label was purchased by its employees with a goal of improving both the quality of our products and service to our customers. We are currently looking for a Prepress Technician / CSR. Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with clients regarding artwork and the printing process.
- Create and send PDF proofs for client review.
- Pre-flight and output files for platemaking that will print efficiently.
- Assist with the quoting process.
- Obtain and maintain all paperwork and documentation as required for each client.
- Issue purchase orders for tooling necessary to complete jobs from start to finish. Track and manage current purchase orders to ensure on-time arrival.
- Participate in new project meetings.
- Design and format from scratch for new and existing clients.
- Take Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign files and make color, text, and image corrections as needed.
- Review and inspect physical samples for accuracy and quality control.
- Assist production team in troubleshooting printability or quality issues.
- Back-up and organize files.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five years of Adobe Creative Cloud Experience (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
- Work background in traditional prepress, including trapping, bleeds and overprinting
- Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage and adapt quickly to deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Esko RIP Software
- Label and Sticker Design experience
- Platemaking experience
- Tech Savvy
- Portfolio
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 per week
Benefits: Paid time off
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday
