We have an immediate opening for a full-time RO Service Writer. We service Domestic Cars and Trucks, European, Performance and Off-Road Vehicles. We provide service for all makes and models from scheduled preventive maintenance to complete ground up restorations and build Austin's finest Restomods.
AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITER
This position acts as the go-between for mechanic technicians and customers. With your communication skills and automotive knowledge, you will give recommendations in an easy-to-understand language to effectively sell our services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers. Take customers through the entire repair process so they can have a great service experience. Keep them informed of the status of their vehicle and ensure their satisfaction before they leave our facility. Communicate any changes in timeline, repairs, or cost. Follow up with customers on the status of their vehicle, based on how the customer wants to be informed.
Meet or exceed weekly targeted sales goals.
Enter labor in system, build estimates, create work orders, provide accurate final tickets to customers, and accept payments.
Verify documentation on every ticket - inspection sheet, estimates, work orders, final invoice etc.
Communicate frequently with technicians and parts dept to order parts from approved vendors in a timely manner to ensure timely completion of work.
Manage the shop’s workflow in an effective and efficient manner.
Keep management aware of mechanical repair or any other problems as they occur.
Maintain and organize a clean and hazard free work environment.
Be a team player. Help other people meet their goals; If you see something that needs to be done, do it without being asked.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years prior sales experience preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
A high level of motivation and energy and strong customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Some knowledge of Windows based computer software and automotive store applications.
Occasionally lift and carry objects over 30 lbs.
