Hiring: Diesel/Medium-Duty Mechanic (Austin)
We’re looking for a reliable mechanic in Austin who can help us keep our small fleet running. Our main truck right now is a 2002 International 4700 diesel (4x2). It’s a solid workhorse but needs some attention.
What we need done now
The AC compressor dropped off its mounting bolts and needs to be inspected, repaired, and re-mounted
The door latch/striker needs replacement
A basic maintenance check to catch up on anything that’s been deferred (belts, hoses, fluids, electrical, hardware)
What we’re looking for long-term
A mechanic with real experience on diesel and medium-duty trucks
Someone who wants an ongoing relationship for our fleet maintenance
Honest diagnostics and fair pricing
Ideally someone who’s worked in a shop or dealership and wants steady side work or flexible off-hours jobs
We’re trying to avoid the massive dealership shop fees and prefer working directly with a skilled tech
