Job Description

As a Distribution Associate, you will:

Serve our customers by giving them exactly what they need when they need it. We aren't just offering a job, but inviting you to begin a career. Starting in this role you will learn our processes, products and industry which will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed at Summit.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a clean vehicle, daily driver logs and weekly vehicle inspection reports

Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.

Load and unload Summit trucks

Safely deliver products to customer locations (Non CDL).

Provide exceptional service to all customers.

Ability to use iPad to review orders and collect signatures

Report all delivery issues and concerns

Prepare orders for shipment to customers.

Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.

Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.

Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.

Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.

Maintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit’s commitment to a safe workplace.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Have 1-2 years prior driving/delivery experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent driving record

At least 21 years of age

Valid Driver’s License

Time management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written

Flexibility – ability to effectively adapt to change

Strong customer service orientation

Beneficial Skills and Experience

Previous warehouse or driver experience

iPad or tablet experience

Customer service experience

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision

Aptitude for learning

Physical Challenges

Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis

Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment

Ability to operate commercial vehicles
