Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in BAYTOWN, Texas. This role will focus on optimizing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving informed decision-making. You will also be expected to provide backup assistance for accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure precise and timely tax record-keeping and support smooth month-end closing procedures. Maintain a robust understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Assist in the processing of customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records. Support financial analysis and reporting tasks. Ensure regulatory and reporting compliance. Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed. Use various accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP for financial operations. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger. Prepare and post journal entries. Contribute to the overall financial integrity of the organization. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger management Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and dependability Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
