Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Revenue Cycle Auditor in Bellaire, Texas. As a specialist in this role, you will be working within the healthcare industry, focusing on compliance coding, billing, and revenue cycle audits. You will also be responsible for the accuracy of these processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities Conduct meticulous medical coding, billing, and revenue cycle audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards Utilize your proficiency in Epic software to efficiently manage and update patient records Audit billing processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specific guidelines Apply your knowledge of UB-04 facility coding and billing to optimize these processes Perform audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies in coding and billing Use your skills in medical coding and billing to process and manage inpatient and outpatient records accurately Leverage your understanding of hospital revenue cycle processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing Ensure coding compliance in line with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements Use your expertise in hospital inpatient and outpatient coding to maintain the integrity of medical records Manage accounts receivable tasks, including monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action when required.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Epic Software is mandatory. Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Medical Coding is required. Certification in Medical Coding is highly desirable. Prior experience in Medical Billing and understanding of Medical Billing - UB-04 is essential. Experience in Audit, Audit Compliance, Audit Findings, Audit Reports, Auditing is required. Knowledge of Claims audits, Coding Audits, Compliance Audit, Health Care Audits - Medicare - Medicaid is expected. Understanding of Coding Compliance, HealthCare Revenue Cycle, Revenue Cycle Processes, Hospital Revenue Cycle is desirable. Experience with Epic Hospital Billing, Hospital Billing, Hospital Coding, Hospital Inpatient, Outpatient Hospital, Hospital Outpatient is a plus. Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare, Medicare Billing, Medicare Claim, Medicaid Billing, Medicaid Claim, Medicaid Manage Care, Medicaid Regulation, Manage Care is required. Proficiency in Inpatient Coding, InPatient Outpatient, InPatient Records is necessary. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work is required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is necessary.
