Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role is integral to our day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for handling prepaids, accruals, monthly journal entries, and leading the monthly close process. The role also includes leading accounting projects and managing specific areas such as sales and inventory accounting.Responsibilities: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of general ledger accounts. Lead and manage the monthly close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations for prepaids, accruals, sales, and inventory. Take the lead on accounting projects, implementing improvements in processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Manage sales accounting, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards. Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation, cost analysis, and inventory adjustments. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain strong internal controls over financial processes and reporting. Work closely with other departments to provide accounting support and insight. Assist in budget preparation and financial analysis as needed. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function and implement changes to optimize operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or, FinanceCandidate must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is required Extensive knowledge of the General Ledger is a must Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary Experience in Month End Close procedures is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus, but not required Knowledge of accounting software and databases is a plus.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
