Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Database Developer to join their SQL development team. Currently, this position is remote due to COVID. Position will turn into a hybrid work schedule; candidate must be willing to go to the Partner's site as needed. The 2 site locations are Dallas, TX (preferred) and Winston-Salem, NC. Responsibilities:

  • Develop/maintain large scale SQL Server Database structures
  • Develop/maintain T-SQL code (Stored Procedures, functions, and reviews)
  • Develop/maintain Business Intelligence SSIS projects (SSIS Project Deployment Preference)
  • Develop/maintain SQL Reporting with SSRS
  • Develop/maintain Production troubleshooting scripts for other internal groups
  • Develop/maintain automation and deployment tools for the Operational DBAs (PowerShell Preference)
  • Serve as a technical/research resource for the Operational DBAs
  • Create/maintain Database servers within Development Environment
  • Manage code/database objects with source control tool (i.e., TFS)

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of Microsoft SQL experience with at least 4 years of operation experience in an enterprise database environment and 4 years of programming experience
  • Experience with MS SQL Server 2014, 2016 or newer
  • Worked extensively with complex SSIS and SSRS projects
  • Experience with C# (or Java) within ETL packages
  • Experience with large data sets (their databases range from 40,000 rows to over a million rows of data)
