Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in the hospitality industry, based in Dallas, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with the crucial responsibility of managing all the corporate accounts, performing heavy cash and balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining prepaid and accrual schedules, and transitioning to a new system. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage all corporate location accounts and their respective cost centers Perform heavy cash reconciliations Conduct balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries Handle allocation of resources and budget Maintain up-to-date prepaid and accrual schedules Transition to a new system, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations Utilize Excel for pivot tables and vlookups Employ skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Demonstrable experience in the hospitality industry is preferred Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Comfortable with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, and Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency Commitment to professional development and continuous learning Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
