As a CNC Machinist, you will utilize lifting devices such as overhead cranes to move large parts, using chains and straps to handle materials.

You will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.

Your responsibilities will include fabricating and modifying parts to create or repair tools or machines, calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and quality tools, and aligning and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.

You will also monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process, measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, and set controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Cycle times for tasks can vary from 6 minutes to 12 hours depending on the machine you are running.

Hard Skills

Long cycle times, and understanding of G&M Codes

Setup experience a MUST along with GD&T.

Mathematics and Blueprint reading experience.

PMI tools

Experience with Fanuc, Siemens OR Mazatrol controls.
