Title: Switchgear Wiring Assembler
Location: Dallas, TX
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (with frequent overtime, averaging 50+ hours per week)
We are seeking a Low Voltage Switchgear Assembler to join our Client's production team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble metal components and electrical enclosures used in power distribution systems. This position is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who enjoy working with tools, following assembly drawings, and being part of a team-oriented environment.
Job Duties:
Assemble sheet metal parts and components to build switchgear cabinets and enclosures according to specifications.
Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools (such as drills, impacts, screwdrivers, and grinders) to complete assembly tasks.
Perform basic wiring and connection of low-voltage components as required.
Inspect assemblies for quality, accuracy, and alignment with drawings.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
Collaborate with team members and participate in hands-on shadow training to learn new assembly techniques.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
0–2 years of experience in assembly, light manufacturing, or related mechanical work.
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and measurements
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
