Clean, air conditioned EDM job shop has an opening for a full-time Quality Control Specialist. We are a small job shop that builds high-end components for defense and commercial applications. We are AS9100 Rev. D / ISO 9001:2015 certified, with a top-notch quality department, complete with three CMM inspection units. This position is responsible for activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality policies, procedures, documentation and databases in compliance with AS9100 requirements. Maintain document control measures to ensure only valid documents are utilized.

- Maintain and review calibration and equipment maintenance logs and schedules to ensure procedures are being followed and all measuring and test equipment is appropriately maintained and calibrated.

- Maintain records on part non-conformances and assist in reconciliation of quality issues and actions.

- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of training curricula, logs and employee records.

- Assist in the preparation quality reports for periodic Management Review Meetings, as well as other correspondence, reports and documents as needed.

- Perform in-process and finished product inspections as assigned or required by specification, conducting visual and mechanical measurement tests to check for quality. Document inspection results. Update appropriate reports and/or databases.

- Assist in performing periodic vendor and customer satisfaction surveys.

- Assist with audits to endure quality management system remains compliant with current standards.

We will consider only those applicants with the following experience and capabilities:

- Two years' college in a technical field or four years related experience.

- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality requirements.

- Detail-oriented and quality-minded.

- English fluency (read, speak, write).

- Stable work history.

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word).

- Ability to use manual and electronic inspection and measuring equipment, including CMMs.

- Ability to read and understand prints and drawings.

- Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

- Be able to stoop, bend or kneel.

- Have the physical stamina to sit, stand and/or walk most of the shift.

- Clear close-up vision, with or without corrective lenses.

- Good manual dexterity.
