This is a remote IT Security consulting role orFulltime Network Security AnalystRobert Half is working with an El Paso, Texas based organization looking to hire a IT Security consultant to provide security subject matter expertise, establish security framework, author policy , asses security risk and make recommendations to Executive staff on Cyber security best practices and recommendation. May also assist with hiring, training, mentoring a Network security analyst FTE and provide other IT Security support and consultation as needed.The Network Security Analyst will undertake tasks of network and security development and maintenance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Identifying and defining system security requirements;Primary liaison during regulatory security audits;Performing troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network;Engineering, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information;Designing computer security architecture and developing detailed cyber security designs;Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reports on security posture;Provide security feedback to the appropriate internal teams, like product developers. Requirements Interviews are currently being conducted, for immediate consideration please applyThe successful IT Security consultant will have:Expertise in IT SecurityExperience setting up a IT Security framework, Governance, Conducting IT security assessments and consulting on IT Security.The Network Security Analyst will have:Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools;Proven work experience as a Security Analyst or Cyber Security Engineer;Experience in building and maintaining network and security systems;Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering.;Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols;Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols;CCENT/CCNA, CEH, Security+, CISSP qualifications are strongly preferredAOS/BS in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field experience Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
