Night Dispatch
Responsibilities:
Driver Monitoring & Communication: Keep track of all drivers, ensuring they are moving efficiently and attending to their needs.
HOS Knowledge: Must be able to read and interpret Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to ensure compliance.
Load Tracking & Reporting: Provide detailed load notes for every load, documenting on-time deliveries and any delays.
Incident Management:
If a truck breaks down, ensure drivers communicate with the shop.
Follow up with both the driver and the shop to confirm repairs are in progress.
Provide brokers with accurate updates, including proof of breakdown or repairs.
If delays are caused by weather or traffic, request and submit images to the customer promptly, along with a proper ETA update.
Departure Enforcement: Ensure all drivers depart from base at the designated time—no more departures at 7pm-3 AM.
Qualifications:
Experience in dispatching, preferably in trucking/logistics.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple drivers and loads efficiently.
Knowledge of HOS regulations and transportation compliance.
Problem-solving skills to address breakdowns, delays, and unexpected issues.
Proficiency in load-tracking systems and reporting.
