Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco Texas 75033Work hours: PRN, DaysPosition highlights:· Tight-knit team where experience and regular input is valued and supported· Access to regular interactions with Clinical, Financial and Revenue Cycle Leadership· Ability to improve documentation, timeliness and billing policy complianceHere’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program· 5 years of clinical nursing experience in the Emergency Department· Organizational and critical thinking skills while performing timely and efficient chart audits· Strong detailed oriented skill set to help identify vendor, provider and/or staff member trends· Collaborative communication skillsWhat You Will Do· Performs audits of patient charge sheet and medical records to ensure accuracy of charges using knowledge of coding regulations for third party payers and assures accuracy of charge sheets.· Assures medical record and charge sheet reconciliation and turns reviewed and corrected charge sheets in to charge entry staff.· Monitors monthly revenue report· Responsible for staff education on charging, implementing changes, new information needed in documentation and problem trends.· Responsible for orienting new staff and RN contract staff on the charging process.· Completes audit worksheets and prepares necessary forms which reflect any patient charges adjustments.· Available to assist with request for internal/external auditors to clarify charging methodologies. Works closely with Medical Management; Corporate Compliance; Central Business Office and entity Finance to verify/correct patient charges.Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney.
