Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Inpatient PRN II NightsFast-paced, high volume Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033Work hours : PRN Nights (varied hours based upon department need). Weekend and holiday requirementsDepartment highlights:

30-bed General Medical Surgical Tele unit - 20 beds on 5th floor and 10 bed overflow consisting of mostly surgical patients – fast paced, quick turnover

Experience with tele, surgical, plastics, bariatrics, spine highly preferred. COVID unit for hospital.

1:5 patient ratio, PCT for every 10-15 patientsHere’s What You Need

Nursing Diploma

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program

BSN preferred

One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred

RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

BCLS - upon hire - expiration date greater than 3 months preferred

ACLS - upon hire required

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 60 days of hire

What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient

Plans the care of the patient

Intervenes as appropriate

Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
