Description: This position is for a senior classified information system administrator with experience in system configuration and IT compliance with background in cyber security, and IT compliance. This position supports multiple projects / internal customers.Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Security+, or other IAT Level II/III security certification. Experience with Active Directory domains and/or (Linux) NIS domains. Knowledge and experience with system administration of production networks including Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019, and Linux. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on varied OS update tools necessary to install and update (service packs, patch bundles, etc). Direct work experience interfacing with vulnerability remediation tools and security management tools used for system hardening, log management. and configuration management (ex: Nessus, E-STIG, ePo, Ivanti, Splunk, etc.) Demonstrated proficiency applying DISA STIGs and working knowledge of variances Demonstrated willingness and ability to enhance and expand skillsets to meet organization and new technology demands Must be able to lift 35 lbs.Desired Skills: Knowledgeable in information systems networking Must have a solid understanding of Linux file permissions, and log-file troubleshooting tactics. NetApp experience Manage asset inventory and administration for IT hardware within their control. Responsible for establishing validation process and creating configuration profile records for each newly imaged asset.
