Description Robert Half is looking for an organized and driven Contract Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join our team. You should have at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience to efficiently handle our company's accounts payable needs.This Opportunity is 100% onsite Pay is up to 20/hr DOE Responsibilities:

Process invoicing and initiate payments.

Settle accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.

High Volume of Data Entry

Resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain vendor relationships.

Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).

Assist in month-end reporting procedures.

Qualifications:

1 to 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.

Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Sage

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work under pressure.

Requirements

Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar. Demonstrable skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, and Data Entry. Proficiency in Invoice Processing is essential. Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports. Experience with Sage 300 is a significant advantage. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner. Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions. Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
