From operational leadership and crew planning to safety and service procedures, our Inflight Services team provides the innovative approaches, tools, training, and guidance needed for our flight attendants to deliver the best possible customer experience, and aid in our mission to become the best airline in the history of aviation.Job Overview and Responsibilities:The Assistant Manager of Inflight Training will provide leadership and direct the work/activities of a team of Inflight specialists. Supervise the day-to-day operation and ensure hiring targets are being met. Establish and maintain high calibration standards and provide guidance to the team. Analyze and monitor the operational metrics and make recommendations/changes for improving efficiencies and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Assistant Manager Inflight Training will be responsible for training, performance management, and development of the team. Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement. Assistant Manager Inflight Training will also partner with other divisions to drive top talent to the flight attendant role (includes specialized needs such as language skills).Key Responsibilities:· Manage day-to-day operation for the Inflight selection process· Provide leadership and work direction to a team of Inflight Specialists· Analyze operational metrics to ensure efficiencies and hiring targets are being met· Create a compliance program and conduct compliance checks· Responsible for performance management of the team· Manage charter selection and operations for NFL, MLB, and NCAA teams (approximately 60)· Travel required (at least 25%)United values diverse experiences, and perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table!QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:· Required to attend and successfully complete United's flight attendant training to earn FAA certification if not currently qualified. Obtaining and maintaining flight qualifications is an essential function of the job. Failure to obtain and maintain flight qualifications may result in termination.· Willingness to align with flight attendant tattoo guidelines. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, neck, or hands, including behind the ear· Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience· At least 3 years in Inflight Service in a management role· At least 3 years directly supervising others· Prior experience in the development of dashboards· Adept with suite products (excel, ppt, Teams)· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Experience presenting in front of large groups· Provide direction to staff· Support ongoing learning and development· Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities· Responsible, goal-oriented, and organized· Strong attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:· Master's degree· At least one-year prior experience in Inflight training preferred· Former HR experience· Flight Qualified· SHRM/PHR CertificationUnited Airlines is an equal opportunity employer.
