Description An excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper is available through Robert Half. This Bookkeeper position would be a great fit for someone with prior A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting experience. Located in the Houston, Texas area, this Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity that you do not want to miss.What you get to do every single day
Arrange financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Care for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures
Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries
Maintain and balance general ledger
Design Accounts Receivable invoices, analyzing payments received, and record deposits
Uphold quality historical records by filing documents Requirements - Experience using accounting software
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
Experience with billing
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Job Cost experience preferred
Proficiency in project accounting
Basic Bookkeeping experience
5+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
