The Oil Scheduler is a senior level position responsible for overseeing various commodities and identifying potential physical trading opportunities, in coordination with the Trading team. The overall objective of this role is to manage physical positions and movements, and coordinate with various stakeholders on the trading floor.Responsibilities:
Support the Commodities business and oversee various commodities and identify potential physical trading opportunities at the trading desk
Coordinate with various stakeholders on the trading floor extending from legal, back office, and product control
Manage physical positions and movements, and optimize flows to save costs by determining how conditions affect a given market
Solve issues throughout the nomination cycle by leveraging external and internal relationships and submit monthly nominations
Input and extract trading information to ensure accuracy and solve any identified problems
Coordinate on new products, structure transactions, trading book purchases, adhoc projects and regulatory compliance
Ensure correct processing of trades and bank risk compliance in daily activities and work on audit queries
Leading strong governance and controls:
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in a related role
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines with accuracy
Effective and efficient quantitative skills and advanced problem solving skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven ability to thrive in a high stress, fast paced environment
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
