Purchasing Clerk

Description Our client, a custom home builder in the Houston Galleria area, is currently in need of a Purchasing Specialist on a contract to possible permanent basis. The responsibilities of the Purchasing Specialist will be to request, review, and enter vendor bids, maintain vendor bid packages, evaluate vendor pricing to identify cost saving opportunities, research and resolve vendor disputes including product or pricing issues, invoice and contract discrepancies, and coordinate pricing adjustments, if needed, assist with special projects including vendor/product improvements and changes, among other duties as needed.
