Research Data Coordinator - Breast Medical Oncology

KEY FUNCTIONS

Coordinates and maintains accurate and current Breast Medical Oncology and PDMS databases and projects as assigned. Provides flow sheets and reports upon request; meets deadlines for data entry and analysis. Demonstrates knowledge about data management and statistical methods and computer databases.

Assists with data collection by retrieving protocol information via visual chart review or by verbally interviewing patients. Assists with retrieval of demographic, on-study and follow-up information as needed and is able to record this clearly and accurately. Receives laboratory reports from outside institutions via telephone, mail or fax and reports abnormalities to the research nurse.

Provides accurate data entry into a designated Breast Medical Oncology, institutional or sponsor database using a personal computer or by transcribing information onto paper case report forms.

Assists with Breast Medical Oncology research quality assurance projects evaluating data accuracy, response review and laboratory standards.

Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills when contacting other institutions and agencies (i.e., NCI, pharmaceutical companies, sponsoring agencies, etc.) by phone, computer-generated reports and/or face to face contacts.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONRequired: High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred: Bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCERequired: Two years of related experience.
