PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full Time Automotive Technicians for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. Automotive Technicians will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. This role will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members. We are looking to fill multiple positions. These positions are located in Houston, TX. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Full Time Automotive Technicians position below are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections

Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components

Read, interpret, and follow service procedures

Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders

Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs

Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up

Updating Vehicle Software, Vehicle Flashing

Retrofit Autonomous Vehicles

Shifts:

AM Day Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (Tuesday - Saturday)

Must be able to train Monday - Friday

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00/hr. (Depending on experience)

Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to travel 50% of the time

Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Mechanic

Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment

Good attention to detail and organizational skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Has own tools with rolling toolbox and be able to work overtime and weekends

Openness To New Cultures and Processes

Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures

Preferred Skills:

Certificate in Automotive Technology or related

National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)

State Mechanic Certification(s)

Valid driver’s license

Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers

GM EV Experience

GM HV Certification

Linux Experience
