We are hiring an experienced Facilities Groundskeeper to help maintain the Central Campus. The person in charge of Facilities Groundskeeping will be under the direction of the District Supervisor, Grounds & Logistics Division and is expected to provide customer service by carrying out facilities services’ activities at all locations as directed providing logistical support, construction activities, housekeeping services, landscape maintenance, transportation services and other related tasks as directed.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Basic moves of furniture, equipment and/or items required for business operations
Basic landscape maintenance duties: mow, trim, sweep/blow clippings, plant, and mulch
Inspect and perform basic preventive maintenance to tools, equipment, facilities and vehicles
Basic cleaning and maintenance of facilities and grounds
Collect auction items, as well as, stored material and equipment
Perform facilities preparation/set-ups for events
Replace damaged or stained ceiling tiles
Discuss requested work and follow-up completed tasks with customers
Assist craft work (plumber, HVAC, electrician, carpenter, painter, irrigation system tech)
Serves as team member of Facilities Services emergency planning and response team responding to major interruptions of services.
Additional Job Functions:
Block/direct traffic for special events
Safely operate forklift and other equipment including but not limited to tractors and lifts
Pick up trash on campus when encountered during the course of daily duties; this include fallen or broken branches
Communication via phone calls in a timely manner
Make minor Asphalt repairs
Perform maintenance by cleaning out roof drains / gutters as needed
Relocate, dispose and replace car stops when requested
Remove/Install exterior signage
Ability to work at assigned location completing work orders as scheduled.
Must be able to communicate effectively in order to receive instructions and training on equipment.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years Facilities Groundskeeping Experience preferred
Valid Texas Driver’s license
