What You’ll Do:
Assemble transformer components, including radiators, bushings, and conservators
Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets and O-rings as needed
Assist in the teardown and prep of transformers for transport or disposal
Troubleshoot and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders on time and accurately
Operate and inspect tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to noise, electrical hazards, and elevated work areas
Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and customer leads
The Experience We’re Looking For:
5–10 years of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and online platforms
Clear, professional communication and ability to follow directions
Able to work independently while staying aligned with team goals
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must pass a DOT physical exam
Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Available for extended and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working at heights (100+ ft), in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather
Requires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe, effective communication in noisy environments
Bonus Points for:
Experience with transformer oil filtration, testing, or disassembly
Class A CDL, OSHA training, and/ or a TWIC card
Hold a DOT medical certification
Familiarity with transformer components, control wiring, or oil filtration
Experience using shop equipment, electrical tools, or test platforms
Knowledge of transformer teardown or disposal prep procedures
Prior experience working around energized equipment or substations
