Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to assist with various tasks on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment. Duties may vary based on the specific project but generally involve site preparation, material handling, and basic construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload building materials and distribute them to the appropriate locations on the job site
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazards
Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) as needed
Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools
Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Perform demolition tasks and site cleanup
Set up and take down temporary structures, including scaffolding and barricades
Mix, pour, and spread concrete or other materials
Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager
Requirements:
Previous construction or general labor experience preferred but not required
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong work ethic and attention to safety
