We are seeking an experienced Production Team Lead to join our millwork team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom commercial millwork production, a deep understanding of shop drawings and blueprints, and proven leadership skills to oversee daily operations in the shop. This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to guide a team to produce high-quality work that meets project specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the millwork production team.
Review, interpret, and verify shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications for accuracy prior to fabrication.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure production schedules are met.
Inspect completed work for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to design specifications.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and installers to resolve design or production issues.
Maintain equipment, tools, and materials inventory to ensure smooth workflow.
Promote and enforce company safety standards and OSHA compliance.
Train and mentor production staff to enhance skill development and productivity.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial millwork fabrication or carpentry, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Ability to read, interpret, and work directly from shop drawings and architectural blueprints.
Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and measurement instruments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Reliable transportation and valid Texas Driver’s License required.
