The Role
Strive to provide the best customer experience every day
Complete installation of products and services
Resolve and troubleshoot issues such as cable wiring, splitter configuration, and cable plant levels
Connect face-to-face with customers; consulting, assisting, and educating on all services and equipment installed
Prioritize, organize, and efficiently complete tasks to meet deadlines and required weekly and monthly key performance indicators and metrics
Work independently
Work in a variety of environments; indoors, outdoors, tight spaces, elevated
Ensure quality of each job is performed to company and OSHA standards
Navigate a variety of terrains managing tools and equipment
Requirements
6 Months+ prior experience preferred in a field technician, cable technician, fiber technician, or similar role within the telecommunications industry
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Pass all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
Must be fluent in English, Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Ability to travel daily to assigned location and open to a variety of schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Core hours are 6:30AM to 6:30PM or until all assignments are completed.
Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs
Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color and accurately utilize measuring devices
Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds)
Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools
Ability to work in various conditions including, but not limited to inclement weather; this is considered an essential worker position.
A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely. Safety is our #1 Priority. If personal safety is not compromised, an accommodation may be available based on previous ladder experience in a similar role.
