We have an opening for a part-time field Service Technician IT hourly position. We are seeking qualified individuals for our North Houston area office. As a Field Service Technician, you will work on servicing existing accounts and installing new services. The successful candidate must have IT service experience in TELCO AND DATA CABLING, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to service clients and IT and Telco service. This fast-paced job requires an individual who can operate with minimum direction and produce results. Technical Knowledge: Data/Telco Cabling and Knowledge of all Standards, Basic Telecom and network Testing and Trouble Shooting Skills.
Voice and Data Cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, termination, testing) LAN/WAN (VPN, VLAN, Firewalls.) Workstation support, Router Configuration, IP PBX, and Network Equipment
Requirements: 2+ Years of experience is preferred but not required Equivalent industry certifications in Telecom and Networking Clean driving record for the past 5 years Can lift up to 70 pounds Can work on a ladder Ability and experience using standard network and Telco install, repair and diagnostic tools
