RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete vehicle maintenance service by lubricating, changing oil, changing filters, changing wiper blades, rotating tires; maintaining coolant, window cleaner, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid and tire air pressure at proper levels.
Perform a thorough maintenance inspection on all vehicles to insure all under-car and under-hood maintenance components are in good condition. Inspection includes but is not limited to, tires, belts, hoses, leaks from various different sources, shocks/struts, suspension components, etc.
Raise vehicle safely with hydraulic jack or lift.
Perform state mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections in accordance with the state rules and regulations.
Maintain shop cleanliness.
Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management.
Transport customers to and from the shop in company vehicle for the customer service program.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of experience working in the industry as an automotive general service or lube technician is preferred.
Hold a valid state inspector license from the state of Texas, or be willing and able to obtain within 30 days of employment start date.
Hold a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Own basic tools required to perform responsibilities.
Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
