Job Title: Pump Mechanic
Location: Alvin, TX
Compensation:$25.00 - $27.00/hour + Per Diem ($125 daily) + Paid Hotel Accommodation
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Pump Mechanic, where you'll utilize your expertise in handling a wide array of pump systems. We value individuals who are proficient in assembling, maintaining, and repairing pumps from various manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough repairs and maintenance on ANSI pumps.
- Replace packing, mechanical seals, and bearings across different pump models with precision.
- Install centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, ensuring accurate alignment with motors.
- Operate machinery such as forklifts, loaders, tractors, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
- Keep detailed records and organize files documenting maintenance and repair work.
- Experience with AOD (Air Operated Diaphragm) pumps is highly regarded.
Qualifications:
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and installation practices for heavy plant equipment, including pumps and motors.
- Conscious of occupational hazards with a strict adherence to safety protocols.
- TWIC card holders are preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Interpret and execute work orders and instructions effectively.
- Read and understand technical documents, including plans, specifications, manuals, and diagnostic reports.
- Proficient with various measuring tools and able to interpret mechanical diagrams and specifications.
- Adept in using a range of power, hydraulic, and hand tools.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and complete work assignments efficiently.
- Maintain excellent records and possess strong organizational skills.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Foster and maintain positive work relationships.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
