- Ready to handle Development work as an Individual contributor Possesses excellent understanding of Java, J2EE server components. Solves least complex problems through evaluation of business processes and industry standards; uses evaluative judgment to make recommendations for process improvements Debug and Troubleshooting live issues using Monitoring tools, logs, Resource Analysis (CPU, Mem and HDD) , Heap, , Threads Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usability Explore existing application systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation Communicates ideas and information in a concise and logical manner Create/implement strategies for optimizing legacy applications Review queries created by other developers for adherence to standards and performance issues Interact with Tomcat, WebSphere, Jenkins Build , Release Management Tools , Database, Applications analysts and Business users for requirements gathering and problem solving. Do impact analysis of existing applications and suggest best ways of incorporating new requirements Lead migration efforts on the enterprise app side, this would be migrating to Java, OS and upgrading to different versions Maintain standards compliance. Implement localization or globalization of software Proactively engage in the remediation of software issues related to code quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks. Provides guidance and coaching to associate software developers Provide guidance on all aspects of software development including compliance with design frameworks, coding standards, optimization of development efforts Collaborates with key stakeholders including architects, software engineering, and project managers to report out development progress and escalates issues requiring attention Knowledge/Experience:
- 5-10 years hands on experience Experience in supporting Multi-tier applications Experience in different Java Tools, IDE, Build, Dev Ops , CI/ CD , Oracle-RDBMS with focus on Design, maintenance and support of medium to large enterprise/distributed applications Good Unix shell scripting knowledge Familiar with all phases of the systems lifecycle, from analysis, design and development and deployment Experience in end-to-end set up of mission critical applications Jenkins and Docker Containerization will be required, includes config maps, Probes, NAS mounting Comfortable with multiple java, j2ee concepts, i.e. Java, Spring, Java Script Experience in working with source and version control systems (preferably GIT, BitBucket) Experience in production support and troubleshooting issues Performance monitoring and tuning efforts, suggest changes to improve performance is an added advantage Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required Skills:
- Strong Java J2EE Senior Developer and Support, Infrastructure Maintenance Good Knowledge of Java Tools, IDE, Jenkins Build, Dev Ops , CI/ CD Good understanding of platform support procedures and concepts Technical Essential:
- Sound knowledge and hands on experience of Performance tuning and troubleshooting of production enterprise systems Experience in analysing production issues from technical and functional (application process) point of view and fixing them within defined SLAs Experience in application Software migration, porting and version upgrades across different Platforms Desirable
- Working Experience on High Availability Systems that utilizes Monitoring standards/approach in Java/J2EE applications Knowledge on Linux, Windows operating systems Knowledge on UNIX commands and shell scripting Beneficial:
- Experience in Infrastructure design will be an added advantage Familiarity with ETL and Analytics tools would be an added advantage. Qualifications: Graduation/Post Graduation qualifications in Computer Engineering (preferable) or any Engineering stream with a very good academic record throughout A high degree of Analytical ability and Quantitative skills is desirable
