This is a 6 to 12 month contract with a chance to hire with our Irving, TX based client. It is a Hybrid role.Position Title Project ManagerReports to Director of Agile Program Management. This is a hybrid position with remote and onsite a couple of days/week depending on scrum team meetings. Will initially work primarily onsite to get to know the team and processes. Implemented Scrum 4-5 years ago, however, it is not a pure Scrum environment. Work in 2 week sprints that cover quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, testing and any escalationsThis person will manage 2-3 scrum teamsThis PM will work with the Sales team and Systems Engineering team to develop customizations of the LEADER SW based on individual customers needs.Need someone with strong leadership skills to work through the Scrum process and manage risk and schedule.PMs with application development (customizations, updates, bug fixes) do best in this type of role.Candidates need to be able to project manage “in the trenches”. They will be an engaged PM and can roll up their sleeves when needed.Personality is important. Need someone with confidence in their approach and can ask WHY? or push back with a recommendation on how to execute more efficiently.Essential Functions 1. All Scrum Master responsibilities.2. Managing multiple projects through closure which will require a detailed project plan complete with WBS, requirements, milestones, risks and plan of execution. 3. Responsible for scheduling necessary meetings with resources and stakeholders, act as a facilitator and provide clear documentation, minutes and communication to all involved with project.4. Work with project team to create, update, and maintain master schedule with strong emphasis on understanding impacts, resource allocation and deficiency needs and time constraints.5. Conduct lessons learned and best practices for project reviews.6. Author authority for development requests for preliminary and full project funding as appropriate. Managing the execution of projects and/or working products.7. Sprint Planning and monitoring; which includes driving estimations (story level and LSE).8. Execute release plans developed with product owner.9. Manage project scope to ensure minimal to no deviations occur.10. Monitor and Manage Project Budget, submitting PAF’s/PCR’s timely.11. Manage project risks and opportunities using Risk Register.12. Conduct project deep dives to project teams and Senior Leadership when required.13. Use JIRA to track and monitor team progress and create necessary dashboards or reports.14. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.15. Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.16. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.Skills and Competencies1. Understands development, design, and PMI processes.2. Has experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Visio. 23. Capable of managing multiple projects and communicating extremely effectively.4. Has a clear understanding and experience managing high profile, high risk projects.5. Is familiar with rational and/or defect tracking tools (using Jira or Integrity to track and analyze defects).6. Familiarity of SAP is a strong plus.7. Familiarity of rail or transportation industry is a plus.8. Communication Skills - Comprises the ability to speak, present, write, listen and distribute information effectively and create an environment for open communication.9. Required Education and Experience1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration2. 2-5 Years of Relevant Experience3. SCRUM Master Certification required within 6 months4. Project Management Professional Certification required within 1 year
