Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job SummaryAs a Senior Strategy Manager for Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division (EPD), you will shape the evolution and execution of the Electric Power Division growth strategy. You will champion our OneEPD culture to deliver energy outcomes for our customers through integrated equipment and services offerings. You will serve as a Chief of Staff for the division and operate as an advisor to the Electric Power Senior Leadership team.What You Will Do:

Develop cohesive and compelling messages to provide clarity around the strategy in action for both internal and external audiences.

Advise organization on all aspects of growth strategy communication and execution to ensure alignment, clarity and accuracy of message.

Lead Electric Power Division strategy reinforcement and governance.

Identify and align interdependencies across the organization to maximize customer and business outcomes.

Facilitate leadership meetings, ensuring clear action ownership and timely follow-up.

Develop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations for growth strategy execution, ensuring strategic and financial soundness and alignment for recommendations.

Top Candidates Have:

Extensive Tactical and Strategic Planning Skills : Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the business growth strategy. Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.

Extensive Visioning Skills : Understands the value of articulating an intended business outcome and ability to create and communicate a vision of the organization that motivates others to superior performance.

Expert Level Communication Skills : Understands effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Extensive Stakeholder Management Skills : Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them. Manage conflicting stakeholder priorities, when implementing strategic-change initiatives.

Extensive Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives. Translates vision into specific functional or departmental initiatives. Initiates structure, role clarification, setting standards, and holds team members accountable.

Top candidates will also have:

Proven experience in a strategic communications role, preferably in a corporate setting.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Knowledge of electric power, the energy transition and or the energy industry.
