SUMMARY Bering Global Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is seeking a full-time Soft Tissue Therapist to support the day-to-day operations of a human performance (HP) program for Air Force fighter pilots at Joint Base San Antonio, Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in San Antonio, TX. This work will incorporate job-specific conditioning, cutting-edge HP technology, and easy-access to prehab & rehab physical therapy.At a minimum, the program will address chronic neck and back pain, increased cognitive demands of modern flying operations, and the need for holistic resiliency.The Soft Tissue Therapist assigned to Lackland AFB located in San Antonio TX. will provide patient care and program development guidance for current and future pilots, who are organized, trained, and equipped to deliver distinctive expertise in combat environments. Selected applicants are assigned to a team that is responsible for preparing pilots for physical capacity and durability during their training pipelines and throughout their careers. Physical capacity & durability addresses the physical demands of flying operations. This holistic approach incorporates prehab, performance training, strength & conditioning, and when necessary, rehab with an aggressive “return-to-fly” mindset. The selected applicant should be prepared to address chronic neck and back pain endemic across the pilot population. Daily activities include assessment of personnel assigned to the unit, developing and instructing corrective exercise plans, patient treatment, assisting the HP team with planning, scheduling, execution and validations of the HP program efficiency and effectiveness. The selected applicant will have daily contact and interaction with AF trainees and senior leaders, as well as other staff members, contractors, and vendors. As such, the selected party must adhere to the highest standards of conduct throughout the course of their daily activities and apply appropriate relationships with trainees, customers, and teammates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Perform massage treatments in a professional manner consistent with the warfighters’ needs.

Create a relaxing environment for athlete recovery.

Ensuring that the room is cleaned after each treatment and at the end of each shift.

Effectively report and communicate information specific to warfighter status, workload, and readiness to the entire Performance Team staff.

Be an effective leader and collaborative staff member.

Act as an educational resource to all members of the Performance Staff.

Maintain knowledge of latest trends and leading practices for soft tissue treatments

Maintain all professional credentials and licensure.

Assist in all warfighter testing and assessments and conduct screens as directed by the Human Performance Team

A valid AZ Massage Therapy license.

5+ years of full-time experience in a similar role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Ability to work independently or in a team and meet deadlines

Ability to effectively communicate with Performance Team in ensuring coordination of care for all warfighters.

A calming demeanor and positive/friendly personality with a passion for assisting others in achieving their goals

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Physiology, Kinesiology or other related degree. Master’s Degree is desired.

Cross-trained in multiple services including release techniques such as ART, Graston/fascial release techniques, Neuromuscular Therapy, cupping, Muscle Energy Techniques, Lymphatic Drainage, Stecco Technique, Fascial Stretch Therapy, and PNF stretching.

Evidence of continued professional development and education (workshops, accreditations, etc)

CPR/First Aid Certifications
