Lubbock’s Pro Services is expanding our commercial kitchen maintenance division and we’re looking for a skilled, reliable Commercial Vent Hood Cleaning Technician to join our team. Position Overview
The Vent Hood Cleaning Technician will service commercial kitchens across the Texas Panhandle. This role involves performing full exhaust system cleanings, ensuring NFPA 96 compliance, documenting work completed, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ducts, filters, and fans
Perform inspections and ensure compliance with NFPA 96 fire safety standards
Safely operate pressure washers, chemicals, and related equipment
Complete before-and-after photo documentation
Communicate clearly with clients and office staff
Travel to job sites across the Texas Panhandle (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided)
Work evening or overnight shifts as required by client operations
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year in commercial vent hood/exhaust system cleaning
Strong understanding of NFPA 96 standards
Ability to work on ladders, rooftops, and in tight spaces
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Willingness to work evenings, nights, and some weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Prior certification in hood cleaning (IHEA or equivalent)
Experience pressure washing commercial equipment
Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting fans and duct systems
