Local insulation company is looking for reliable and hardworking insulation tech who can help with our daily operations as needed doing the following duties following company protocol:
INSULATION REMOVAL:
o Safely remove old insulation, including fiberglass batts and blown-in materials like cellulose.
o Use specialized equipment like vacuums for removal.
o Dispose of old insulation responsibly.
AIR SEALING (Polyseal):
o Seal all gaps and penetrations in walls, ceilings, and floors with sealants to prevent air leaks.
o Use materials like acoustic sealant or caulk to seal gaps around pipes, electrical boxes, and other obstructions.
o Apply vapor barriers and other protective coverings as needed.
BATT INSULATION INSTALLATION:
o Measure and cut new insulation (e.g., fiberglass batts) to fit specific spaces accurately.
o Install new insulation materials, including batts and blown-in types.
o Ensure the new insulation is installed correctly to maximize its R-value and effectiveness.
Necessary skills and qualifications:
Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols for handling old insulation.
Familiarity with and ability to operate tools and equipment like blowers, vacuums, and hand tools.
Knowledge of construction and a strong understanding of how to properly seal air gaps.
Physical ability to work in tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces and lift heavy materials.
Good customer service skills to educate customers on the process and keep them informed.
Be on time and prepared for work communicating effectively with company management.
