Description We are looking to add a Sr. Accountant to our team based in McKinney, Texas. This role is central to our operations, involving the review of contracts and agreements for accounting information, the preparation of financial statements, and providing support for the month-end closing process. Responsibilities: Review and interpret owner contracts, addendums, and exhibits to ensure financial/risk compliances Maintain and update the Notice to Owner Log Verify coding and approval of invoices processed for assigned projects Enter budgets for new/added phases of projects and monitor all accounts created for the project Assist with the collection of accounts receivable as requested for the project Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly submittals to client Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll time sheet entry and collection for job site Assist the Project Manager with accounting reports/issues and audit/reconcile the job cost detail to assist in their forecasting Monitor the sub-guard program with the risk department to validate contract values along with enrolled subs (if applicable) Be flexible to travel as needed and work either on-site at the corporate office or on-site at a project location.Skills: Account Reconciliation Balance Sheet Reconciliation Bank Reconciliations General Ledger Journal Entries Microsoft Excel Oracle SAP Project Accounting Construction Accounting Project Billing Payroll Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle and SAP software Experience in Project Accounting and Construction Accounting Knowledge of Project Billing and Payroll processes Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
