Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry situated in Odessa, Texas. This role focuses on handling tasks related to customer credit applications and records for a heavy equipment company. Responsibilities: Handle the processing of work orders for payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Conduct data entry tasks related to accounting and customer credit accounts Carry out regular account reconciliation to ensure the balance and accuracy of expenses Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage, analyze, and report financial data Address customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate actions for delinquent payments Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records for reference and future transactions Manage invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are correctly logged and paid on time Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Data Entry, and Invoice Processing to ensure smooth operation Collaborate with the Engine Field Supervisor and other team members to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position Proficient with Microsoft Excel Able to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Invoice Processing Possess data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a team environment Good communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures Familiarity with financial software is a plus High level of organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
