Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are on the hunt for a proficient Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry, situated in Pasadena, Texas. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a chance for the successful candidate to play a crucial part in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, receipts, and payments. Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and efficient processing of vendor invoices. Maintain a strong relationship with vendors, ensuring communication is clear and effective. Conduct weekly account payable duties, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner. Manage payable invoices, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately and promptly. Oversee the accounts payable department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up to date. Use Dynamics NAV to monitor customer accounts and take the necessary action when required. Assist in the preparation of annual 1099 filings, ensuring all data is accurate and compliant. Organize and execute weekly and interim check runs as necessary. Update and maintain the vendor database, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date. Conduct audits and verify expense reports, ensuring all data is correct and compliant with financial regulations. Requirements Proficiency in entering vendor invoices Proven ability to manage vendor relationships effectively Experience in handling weekly account payable tasks Familiarity with processing payable invoices Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures Proficiency in using Dynamics NAV software for accounting tasks Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
