We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of our church campus, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning and specialized tasks. Must have a clean background and able to pass a drug screen.
Duties
Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
Conduct industrial cleaning and floor care activities to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and free of hazards.
Assist in facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
Carry out commercial cleaning duties in sanctuary, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the campus.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use.
Requirements
Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services.
Skills in commercial cleaning highly valued.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
