These are nine-month, full-time positions with potential summer employment.Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This position will be located in Encino Hall on the San Marcos campus.Required QualificationsFor all ranks: An earned master’s degree in a health-related discipline or related field.For Appointment at the assistant professor of instruction rank (less than five years teaching):
Demonstrated current and contemporary competence in the teaching content area as well as a commitment to service.
For Appointment at the associate professor of instruction rank (minimum five years teaching):
Demonstrated teaching and learning contributions, including advances in curriculum, pedagogy, course delivery, or similar innovation, and a commitment to service.
For Appointment at the professor rank of instruction (minimum 10 years teaching):
Demonstrated effective and sustained teaching and learning contributions, including advances in curriculum, pedagogy, course delivery, or similar innovation and commitment to service.
Preferred Qualifications An earned doctorate in a health-related discipline or related field. Experience with interprofessional education, healthcare educational programs, financial management, and healthcare organizations. Professional discipline-related experience. Teaching experience utilizing a variety of instructional strategies, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid delivery, experiential learning, or field-based experiences to engage students. Demonstrated collegial leadership and team development. Experience in higher education including accreditation, program development, assessment, and curriculum design.
