Art of War Tattoo Studios is looking for a new PROFESSIONAL tattoo artist to join the AOW family for the busy season but a long term artist is especially welcome as well! We will be accepting applications from artist that meet the following requirements only,
You must have a professional and up to date portfolio
You must have a minimum of at least 2 years in studio experience (previous apprenticeships are heavily preferred)
We are looking for someone who is not only personable but reliable as well.
You must have transportation and your own equipment (machines, inks, cartridges/needles).
We provide all other disposable supplies.
We also provide necessary equipment/furniture and a clean and safe work environment with no drama accepted.

Compensation will be based on several factors, including your level of skill, how much clientele you have already, and the length of time you have been tattooing as well as the length of time you plan on staying. Other factors will apply, but will be discussed in person. We are looking for Artists not copy machines. We want artists that are wanting to improve themselves and their artwork and bring something good to our studios. If you are not an artist that likes to hustle and work hard than you need not apply. Artist that only rely on walk-ins for the Entirety of their stay are needed less than an artist that pushes his or herself online as well as in person etc. In other words, the harder you work and put into the shop the more we are likely to except you as a long-term resident artist.
We do provide advertising, but we also advise each artist to push their own work online as well as the studios.

We will also be looking for an apprentice for Tattoo and piercing. If you are interested in learning to do this, there are several things we look for. You must already possess the want and need to do Art or Piercings. We are here to help you become a better artist, but you must already possess the necessary skills to do decent artwork. This is not something to simply try out, ifyou are bored or it’s just something you might be wanting to try then you will most likely not fit what we are looking for. We are looking for someone who has the capacity to endure the side of blood, difficult situations, and hard work as well as long hours at times. We will discuss in person exactly how an apprenticeship works if you have not researched it yet although we advise you to do research before applying. We are teaching you and therefore require compensation, not the other way around. As an apprentice, it is very much like an internship…We do offer several different choices rather than simply paying for an apprenticeship, but that will be discussed in person. You have to have a passion for this and it will show. If this interests, you then apply as you would an artist except put “Apprenticeship wanted” in the headline. not all Apprenticeship applications will be called back or accepted as you will have a 30 day trial. Before being brought on permanently. Just show us what you have artwise or skill wise, and give us your best reason for why you think you would make a good fit at one of our studios and what brought you to this decision to make a career in this industry?
