AECOM is actively seeking a Civil Engineer with 6+ years of aviation-related experience to join our Aviation team. This position is ideally based in Seattle, WA, though we are also open to qualified applicants in Salt Lake City, UT, or nearby regions.The successful candidate will support a wide range of airside and landside design projects at commercial service and general aviation airports. You’ll be working on projects ranging from runway and taxiway design to grading, drainage, utility coordination, and construction administration in a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence and innovation.Key Responsibilities:Lead or support design tasks related to airfield infrastructure: runways, taxiways, aprons, pavement, grading, and stormwater systems.Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents in compliance with FAA, state, and local standards.Participate in the coordination of multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants and internal design groups (structural, electrical, geotechnical).Provide support during construction phases, including site visits, submittal reviews, and RFI responses.Interface with clients, stakeholders, and permitting agencies to support project delivery.Contribute to project management activities, including scope, schedule, and budget tracking under the direction of senior staff.Assist in mentoring junior engineers and supporting their technical development.
