AECOM Water is actively seeking a highly talented and responsible Construction Manager for immediate employment on our active construction site for the new Provo River Water Treatment Plant project located in Provo, UT. The Construction Manager will be responsible for effectively coordinating with the Design Engineer and on-site construction inspection teams and will interact closely with the General Contractor. Experience with Municipal Water / Wastewater Construction projects, along with the installation and startup of large water/wastewater process systems and associated electrical and automated controls equipment, is preferred.The Construction Manager is the primary point of contact to the engineering design manager and serves in this role as the liaison and is responsible in providing the necessary direction upon design coordination with Contractors, Project Engineers, Inspectors, and their Owner/Agents. Additionally, this Construction Manager will be primarily responsible for quality assurance of the construction. The Construction Manager will actively participate in design and construction meetings along with the Contractor, Subcontractors, Project Engineer, and Owner. The Construction Manager will be responsible for organizing and executing best practices for construction document management.This position requires the candidate to be onsite in Provo, UT. Relocation assistance may be provided.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Providing coordination review of Contractor and Vendor submittals for completeness and compliance with the specification requirements while monitoring the Submittal and RFI review process.Assist in the processing of all project submittals, DCN’s, RFI’s and RFC’sActively manage As-Build design drawings with the latest information resulting from submittal and RFI responsesFacilitate and assist in communications between the Contractor, Owner, Project Design Engineer, and the Project Manager.Respond to Contractor letters of correspondence providing interpretation of contract drawings and specifications to resolve problems or conflicts arising on site.Participate in the review and evaluation of contractor claims and change order proposals.Issue Engineering or Client initiated changes or clarifications of the contract documents to the Contractor and make high-level assessment as to the rough order of magnitude and impactWork collectively with the General Contractors Quality Manager to track progress, quality of work, materials and equipment received and/or installed being incorporated into the work.Serve as oversight of final inspections, assistance and or preparation of punch list and final determination as to the completeness and acceptability of the Work.
