RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator - Junior to Mid-Level in Orem, UT.
Responsibilities: Performs installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of software applications on Linux operating systems and related hardware systems Researches, evaluates, tests, and recommends implementation strategies Follows standards for maintaining efficient and effective systems May be responsible for scripting and systems integration Ensures optimal performance and high availability of applications Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application and systems hardware Contribute to strategic plans and gives technical advice Ensure effective and efficient system operations; Coordinates backups and security configurations according to best practices and standards; Follows procedures in coordinating and handling installation of system patches, updates, and upgrades; Ensures system documentation is created and updated Responsible for system uptime; Ensures that logging and monitoring of systems is in place; Coordinates logging and troubleshooting for assigned systems; Performs root cause analysis for system problems; Monitors system uptime and performance trends; Tracks system resources, ensuring that adequate resources are available; Receives and responds to alert conditions; Reports anomalies and trend information to the appropriate entities Develop systems plans that meet or exceed customer expectations; Coordinates with teams in developing systems that meet standards; Develops tactical plans to meet system needs Receive and respond to technical escalation requests in a timely way; Meets end-user needs quickly, in coordination with the Service Desk and leadership; Advise customers to follow standards and appropriate technology for business needsREQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator Immediate contributor in Linux Professional Application Experience Dedicated to documentation Quick learner on new environments Scripting experience is desired Exposure to Containers is a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
