This is a highly impactful role directly contributing to creating great guest experiences at one of America's most-loved brands. As a Sr. Engineer on the Point of Sale team, you'll take the lead as you- Create, refine and support UI and related backend applications used by millions of people, processing billions of dollars in transactions.
- Own and drive high-level features from planning through implementation, be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, and solve complex technical challenges
- Partner with other teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs and deliver the innovative solutions.
- Stay current with the industry trends in digital and retail.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong JavaScript (and/or Typescript) and CSS experience.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles
- Working knowledge of ReactJS or similar UI frameworks.
- Experience with REST API design and development
- Experience with backed-end application development (e.g. Kotlin on Micronaut, Node.js, etc), databases, and web servers.
- Quick learner, Flexible and open to change
- Ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas to stakeholder and partners
