Patient Sitter is responsible for specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. This is a PRN / as needed position. Must be willing to take call.
Duties
· Monitors high risk patients.· Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.· Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.· Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas clean and orderly.
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time
· Must be able to manage high risk patients
